Andoni Canela, a renowned nature photographer, embarks with his son Unai on a fascinating adventure. They travel across four continents in search of the last big cats on the planet: jaguars in the Pantanal of Brazil, Bengal tigers in Rajasthan and Karnataka (India), pumas in Torres del Paine (Chile), lions in the savannahs of Masai Mara, Iberian lynxes in Sierra Morena…
The journey lasts several years and culminates surrounded by the high mountains of Tibet and the Himalayas, where father and son try to find the legendary snow leopard. The difficulty of the challenge, the wonderful expression of wild nature and the sensitivity of Andoni and Unai make ‘Panteras’ a statement on conservation and a true journey of inner discovery.
