This is the first publication by the young photographer from Teruel, in which more than ten years behind the camera finding the birds present in Spain are captured. Most of the 416 pages of this book are beautifully illustrated plates in which males, females, young, birds in flight, plumage phases or different ages appear.

Carlos Pérez Naval has won numerous awards at national and international photography competitions. He has won the FIO ‘Young Photographers’ award four times (2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020) and, among other recognitions, it is worth mentioning the special Nature of Spain 2021 award (AEFONA Photography and Conservation), ‘Young Photographer of the Year 2019’ (Royal Society of Biology of London), ‘Youth Photographer of the Year 2019’ (Windland Smith Rice International, USA) and ‘Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ (London Natural History Museum) in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 (under 10 years old category) and in 2018 (from 11 to 14 years old category).
